Adopting a TexRenRags Kitten
Waiting List:
If we do not have any kittens available, you can be put on a
waiting
list
for an upcoming litter.  You can specify gender and color/pattern
preference.  I do not request deposits until the kittens are actually
born.  The people on the waiting list get first chance to send a
deposit in order to choose a kitten.
Health Guarantee:
Our kittens come with age-appropriate vaccinations (vaccination
records will be provided at time of adoption).  We provide an
adoption contract with a 2 year genetic health guarantee (see
contract for more information).
Pricing:
Kittens are being sold as pets for $450.  This includes showing rights because
we do not believe that you should pay more to show your new kitten,
although there is no guarantee that the cats will place.  The price does not
include altering the kitten.  Our vet does not believe in early spay / neuter
(there are many articles both for and against these procedures. . . you
should speak with your vet to determine when you should have your kitten
altered).  Our vet recommends that kittens be altered at 6 months.  We
recommend that your kitten be altered before 8 months (ideally between 5-6
months).  Registration paperwork from TICA
or CFA will be provided once
we receive written notification of the procedure provided by your vet.

If you are interested in a kitten with full breeding rights, please contact us.
Picking up your Kitten / Delivery:
Kittens can leave to their new homes once they are 12 weeks old. They will
be litter-box trained, weaned from their mother, and accustomed to carpet
and rope scratching posts.

You can come and pick up your kitten in person, or we can arrange for
shipping.  Pick-ups require that any remaining balance be paid in cash.  No
checks will be accepted during pickup.  If shipping is necessary, we will
arrange everything for $250 (which includes shipping within the continental
U.S., through Continental Airlines out of McAllen, a pet carrier, a vet
check-up, and a health certificate).
